The HPE FlexFabric 5900v Virtual Switch delivers a high-performance, standards-based solution to the orchestration of physical and virtual data center networks in a VMware ESX 5.x environment. The FlexFabric 5900v is a distributed virtual Switch that operates within the ESX hypervisor kernel, replacing the native VMware vSwitch. HPE FlexFabric Virtual Switch Orchestration (VSO) Software coordinates the deployment of network policies from HPE's Intelligent Management Center (IMC) onto an IEEE 802.1Qbg-compliant switch with the provisioning of virtual machines from VMware's vCenter.
This enables automated delivery of hardware-based network performance, forwarding, security, and visibility features to each application, ensuring corporate network policy compliance within a dynamic and virtualized data center.
